Liverpool are at the beginning of a new era following the departure of Jurgen Klopp and arrival of Arne Slot.
Klopp called it quits earlier this year and the Reds moved swiftly to appoint Slot from Feyenoord with the Dutchman set to link up with his new players when pre-season training begins in around a couple of week's time.
Slot will take over a Liverpool team whose Premier League title charge faded toward the end of the last campaign but, with a third-placed finish secured, they are back in the Champions League.
And the new season is coming into sharper focus with the Premier League set to release the 2024/25 fixture list in full this morning.
Slot will learn the Reds' schedule for his first campaign in charge at Anfield and we will bring you fill build-up, reaction and live updates as the fixture list is released.

Liverpool now know harsh reality of Premier League fixtures as Man City favourable run becomes clear
Could have been better, could have been a lot worse. Such will surely be reaction of new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot after confirmation of the Premier League fixtures for this season.
However, that a new era begins with a 12.30pm kick-off at Ipswich Town will not be lost on Reds supporters who, throughout Jurgen Klopp's reign and much to the chagrin of the departed manager, were far more often given the unloved and unwanted Saturday lunchtime fixture for live television coverage.
And recent trends indicated it would be against a promoted team, the fifth time in sixth years Liverpool will have opened by facing a team riding the crest of a wave after being elevated to the Premier League. Mind you, with two wins over Norwich City, one against Leeds United and a draw at Fulham, the Reds have usually negotiated the hurdle.
Ian Doyle has the full story, here.

Spursy
The trend of Liverpool hosting Tottenham Hotspur towards the end of the Premier League will continue into 2024/25.
The Reds will take on Tottenham at Anfield on April 26, having last season faced off against Spurs on May 5.
In 2022/23, it was April 30 and May 7 in 2021/22.

Liverpool run-in
If Liverpool find themselves battling for the Premier League title next season, Arne Slot could do with having a lead of a few points over Arsenal and Manchester City due to the Reds' run-in.
Liverpool's final five games sees them take on Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton and Crystal Palace - a far from ideal scenario.
Final five:
April 26 - Tottenham Hotspur (H)
May 3 - Chelsea (A)
May 10 - Arsenal (H)
May 18 - Brighton (A)
May 25 - Crystal Palace (H)

Supercomputer question
What makes a computer a supercomputer? Does it have arms and legs or a bigger brain? What is it?
Let's be honest, it isn't super at all. Normally it's just a PC running a simulation of Football Manager. And often it's not even as complicated as that.
If the supercomputer really was super, it would work out things like the weather and what the lotto numbers are going to be. Except, of course, nobody knows that. So why would it possibly know what the Premier League table will end up being before a ball has been kicked or almost every transfer hasn't been completed?
Rant over.

Liverpool's last trip to Ipswich
Liverpool last visited Portman Road during the 2001/02 season, securing a 6-0 win.
Goals from Abel Xavier, Emile Heskey (2), Sami Hyypia and Michael Owen (2) helped the Reds on their way to a comfortable three points.
The sides would meet again on the final day of the season at Anfield, Liverpool this time winning 5-0, with Ipswich suffering relegation from the division.

Premier League table predicted
Liverpool's final Premier League position for next season has been predicted by a supercomputer.
The Reds are being backed to finish fifth in the Premier League next season, according to the supercomputer data provided by BonusCodeBets, missing out on fourth to Manchester United by three points.
Manchester City are predicted to win the title with 94 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal, who are tipped to finish with 91 points.

Liverpool's opening day record
Liverpool will travel to Suffolk at the very start of the new Premier League season, searching for three points against Ipswich Town.
But how has the Reds' record on the opening weekend been in recent years?
2023/24 - Chelsea (A) 1-1
2022/23 - Fulham (A) 2-2
2021/22 - Norwich (A) 3-0
2020/21 - Leeds (H) 4-3
2019/20 - Norwich (H) 4-1
2018/19 - West Ham (H) 4-0
2017/18 - Watford (A) 3-3
2016/17 - Arsenal (A) 4-3
2015/16 - Stoke (A) 1-0
2014/15 - Southampton (H) 2-1
2013/14 - Stoke (H) 1-0
2012/13 was the last season the Reds suffered defeat on the opening day after being beaten 3-0 at West Brom.

Title odds
It would be a big ask for Arne Slot to deliver the Premier League title during his first season at the helm.
Manchester City are the favourites to come out on top once again, closely followed by Arsenal and Liverpool in third.
There is then a major drop-off to Chelsea, who are fourth favourites, with the Londoners coming in at 20/1.
Premier League 2024/25 title odds via bet365
Man City - 11/10
Arsenal - 15/8
Liverpool - 7/1
Chelsea - 20/1
Man Utd - 25/1
Newcastle - 25/1
Tottenham - 33/1

Liverpool's first game on TV
Liverpool's opening game of the 2024/25 Premier League season will be shown live on TNT Sports.
The TV company will of course be hoping for a shock result at Portman Road as Ipswich Town host the Reds, in what will be their first fixture back in the top flight since the 2001/02 campaign.
Ironically, Ipswich's last game of that season was a 5-0 defeat away at Anfield.

Liverpool could face Man City double-header in fixtures nightmare as new Champions League format explained
Liverpool are back in the Champions League for the 2024/25 season, much to the delight of many supporters, though Europe's elite competition will take on a new format for the new campaign.
The group-stages have now become an expanded single 36-team league stage, with sides each facing eight different teams (four at home, four away). The dates for such fixtures have already been confirmed, with the first Champions League gameweek getting underway on Tuesday 17 September.
This could have an unfortunate impact on the Reds' schedule, as explained here by Theo Squires.

McKenna reaction
Ipswich Town will be relishing their first game back in the top flight, which comes against Liverpool.
The man who masterminded the Tractor Boys' back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League has shared his thoughts on facing the Reds first up in their campaign.

First thoughts
How can you make a 490 mile round-trip to Ipswich worse? Stick it on at 12.30pm on a Saturday!
I, for one, am gutted that we have been denied the Jurgen Klopp meltdown to end all meltdowns!
Liverpool's run of April into May looks particularly vile too as they face Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal back-to-back.
Tom Cavilla
Old Trafford trip
Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford in the third week of the Premier League season - just as they did in 2022/23.
This fixture in August 2022 saw Erik ten Hag claim his first win as Manchester United manager, having suffered defeats to Brighton and Brentford in the first two games of the campaign.
This time, it is the turn of another Dutchman to experience this fixture early into his reign.

Newly-promoted theme continues
Liverpool became the first team in top-flight history to face a newly-promoted side in their first league game of the season in four consecutive seasons (Norwich in 2019-20, Leeds in 2020-21, Norwich in 2021-22, Fulham in 2022-23) and have another team to add to this list after being lined up for an away trip to Ipswich Town on the opening day!

Nearly there
Good morning from the ECHO sports desk.
Not long until the fixtures are officially confirmed for Liverpool and their new head coach Arne Slot.
Are you excited? You should be. At 9am this season officially becomes last season and next season becomes this season. Always a tremendous moment in the calendar.
Stephen Killen
When does the 24/25 Premier League start?
Zzzzz, zzz, zzz, sorry these internationals are a bit boring aren't they? Euro 2024 is exciting and all but we want the Premier League action to be back.
If you're a fan of the Liverpool ECHO, you will check the website religiously for transfer snippets or the latest news or to leave a lovely comment on some of our articles.
I don't know if Liverpool are signing anyone, sorry, I'll ask for you though. But signings are put on the backburner, Liverpool are linked with every man and his dog so we can cast them to one side - or our LFC transfer blog which you can find here.
When does the Premier League season start?
24/25 Premier League
You will have exactly 60 days to wait.
Or 1440 hours or eight weeks and four days or 86,400 minutes (equivalent of 960 matches apparently) for the Premier League season to begin.
The campaign will begin on the weekend of 17-18 August. It will take place over 33 weekends, with four midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday matchweek.
The final round of fixtures will be played on Sunday, 25 May 2025, with all games to kick off at the same time.

Liverpool opening day memories
There have been some cracking opening days in the Premier League regarding Liverpool.
Sadio Mane's wonderstrike against Arsenal and that celebration.
Simon Mignolet heroics against Stoke City.
The title defence getting off to a cagey start with a 4-3 win over Leeds United.
Who do you think Liverpool will get on the opening day?
Stephen Killen
What is new for the 24/25 Premier League season?
Could we finally be enjoying football again without VAR?
No, sorry to disappoint but there will be four new key rule changes in operation for the 2024/25 Premier League season.
There will be some alterations and 'improvement's' to VAR (you be the judge of that).
What is new for the 24/25 Premier League season?
VAR Improvements
The Premier League have confirmed six changes that will be introduced surrounding the technology and video assistants, they are:
- Maintaining a high threshold for VAR intervention to deliver greater consistency and fewer interruptions to the flow of the game.
- Reducing delays to the game, primarily through the introduction of semi-automated offside technology.
- In-stadium announcements from referees after a post-VAR change of decision and, where possible, an enhanced offering of big screen replays to include all VAR interventions.
- Working with PGMOL on the implementation of more robust VAR training to improve consistency.
- Increasing transparency and communication.
- A fan and stakeholder communication campaign will seek to further clarify VAR’s role in the game to participants and supporters.
Semi-automated offsides
See those razor-thin offside decisions at Euro 2024 and how they're decided? Well, the Premier League will be having them.
It's been in use in Europe and in their competitions. But it won't be immediately in use, it has been said that it will be phased out after one of the autumn international breaks.
The Premier League says it "will provide quicker and consistent placement of the virtual offside line, based on optical player tracking."
No winter break
Jurgen Klopp must've have left for them to scrap that! Clubs will not have that week off in January, instead the first round of fixtures will get underway a week later than normal - to ensure players get more rest.
Team news changes
Whether you're at the game, at home or in a local pub, you will check the relevant social media channels or text your mate who is 'in the know'. But there will be a change or two to that.
From August, clubs will announce their starting 11's 75 minutes before kick-off, in-line with UEFA's competitions.
Stephen Killen
Who was relegated from the Premier League?
Liverpool were back fighting at the top end of the table last season.
Jurgen Klopp's men dusted themselves down from a torrid campaign a season prior to be mixing with Manchester City and Arsenal.
In reality, it was great fun and horrendously stressful but no one expecting the Reds to be there. One year earlier, they just about managed to sneak into the European places, this time they were in the title race until the final few games of the season.
But who will they not be facing this season? Or rather, who was relegated?
Luton Town
Burnley
Sheffield United
Stephen Killen
When are the Premier League fixtures released?
Liverpool only beat Wolves less than a month ago.
Jurgen Klopp bid an emotional farewell to Anfield 30 days ago, the German obviously had his sit down at the M&S Bank Arena and then enjoyed a two-step at Taylor Swift.
In that time, Liverpool said a sad goodbye to the iconic manager, welcomed a new head coach in Arne Slot and all the players are in action at Euro 2024 and the Copa America.
When are the Premier League fixtures released?
Tuesday, June 18 at 9am.
Stephen Killen
How are the Premier League fixtures done?
The Premier League fixtures can throw up some crazy matches.
It is more so the FA Cup and League Cup where accusations of bias are thrown around - but we all have our tin hats on don't we?
But have you ever wondered how the Premier League do it?
Well, Glenn Thompson from international IT services company Atos has explained how.
"We start when we know the composition of each division, so after the last Football League playoff. We place each club in a pairing grid, which defines the dates they will be at home," he told the Premier League.
"For every date in the season, the fixture computer knows which clubs are at home and who are away and then it will mix them up randomly to determine the matches.
"In any five matches there should be a split of three home fixtures, two away or the other way around. A team will never have more than two home or away matches in a row, and, wherever possible, you will be home and away around FA Cup ties.
"A club will never start or finish the season with two home or two away matches because it would be unfair for a team to finish with two aways,
"Around the Christmas period, if you are at home on Boxing Day you will be away on New Year's Day or an equivalent date. We also try to maintain a Saturday home-away sequence throughout the season wherever possible."
Stephen Killen
Who was promoted to the Premier League?
Leicester City.
Ipswich Town.
Southampton.
The Championship was more exciting than ever and there was a great story involved when Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town secured automatic promotion.
The Tractor Boys continue to bounce on after winning League One and ensuring their place in the Premier League in back-to-back seasons.
Leicester City won the second tier after initially blowing their rivals out of the water. Enzo Maresca's side moved comfortably clear until a mid-season blip dragged them into the promotion race, although they shook it off (still living off Taylor Swift fever, sorry) to enjoy the celebrations.
And arguably the most satisfying of them all, if you're a player or supporter at least, the Saints went marching in at Wembley beating Leeds United. Adam Armstrong scored the only goal of the game under the arch as Russell Martin's side booked their place back in the Premier League.
Stephen Killen
What club do you look out for?
It's a bit like your birthday or Christmas where you look and see a bunch of presents. Which one do you choose first? Which one do you prefer?
Premier League fixture day is the same.
Do you look out for Everton?
Do you look out for Manchester United?
Do you even look out for Manchester City?
Or do you look to see what the first away trip is, or who is the Boxing Day fixture?
Fret away, we will be bringing you all the latest.

Premier League fixture release day
It's here.
Liverpool fans, players and head coach Arne Slot will learn who they will face throughout the season.
The Dutchman hasn't officially been unveiled by the club yet but he will have his plans for the Premier League campaign, including who he will be lining up against on the opening day as well as the key fixtures such as the Merseyside derby, Manchester United and the rest.
Stay tuned, we will have everything you need including analysis, opinions and reaction.
