Mitchell, 85, a.m. today in Elkhart General Hospital. Mr. Mitchell retired in 1970 from C.G. Conn Elkhart, where he worked for 34 years.

He was born Feb. 1, 1903, in Elkhart. On June 3, 1939, in Elkhart, he married Palmyra L. "Polly" Opfer. She died Oct.

17, 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Cole of Bristol; four sons, John R. "Bob" of Elkhart, James W. of Vandalia, Jack D. of Sarasota, and Bill L.

of Clayton, 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Morehouse of Elkhart and Catherine Checkley of Bristol; and two brothers, Harry L. of Hemut, Calif. and William F. of Elkhart. He was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church and the Bristol Fire Department from 1939 to 1981; a member and past master of the George Washington Masonic Lodge 325 AM; and a member and past patron of the Order of Eastern Star 273.

Helen Roselean Rishel BREMEN Helen Roselean Rishel, 71, of Columbus, formerly of Bremen, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mrs.

Rishel and her husband had owned and operated a restaurant in Bremen for several years. She was born May 17, 1916, in Pleasantville, Ind. She moved from Bremen to Columbus i in 1985. On May 21, 1939, she married Ross G. Rishel, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Michael of Francesville; a grandson; and a sister, Ruth Hertel of South Bend. A daughter, Lela Gilbert, died Dec. 2, 1987. She was a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Services will be at 1:30 p.m.

He was. born Feb. 11, 1912, in Ora. In 1969, he married the former Mary Jane Samples, who died Jan. 11, 1987.

She was born July 28, 1909, in Maywood, Ill. She moved to La Porte 45 years ago from Berwyn, Ill. On Dec. 31, 1942, in LaPorte, she married Leon C. Skalicky.

He survives with a daughter, Lois Skalicky of Carson, and a sister, Helen Rajsky of Bensenville, Ill. Mrs. Skalicky helped found the La Porte Lionettes in 1948 and twice served as president of the organization. She was a member of the church and its Jubilate Choir. Irene C.

On June 28, 1928, in LaPorte, she married Edson L. Goff. He died Feb. 15, 1965. Surviving are two sisters, Marion Christian of Floral City, and Alvaretta Kousen of LaPorte; and a brother, Jerry Lubs of LaPorte.

Rohrer, 75, of 26428 U.S. 20 died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mrs.

Rohrer was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Walkerton, and had lived in South Bend for five years, coming from Kingsbury. Her first husband, Daniel Lindsley, died, in 1966. On Sept. 10, 1966, in South Bend, she married Elbert E.

Rohrer, who survives. She also is survived by four daughters, Erma Davis and Karen Lindsley, both of South Bend, Katherine Davis of North Liberty and Ethel McSurley of LaPorte; five sons, Richard Lindsley of South Bend, Kenneth Lindsley of New Buffalo and John, Charles and Lester Lindsley, all of LaPorte; 30 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Brownlee of South Bend; and five brothers, Gene Wolff and Harry Wolff, both of Westville, Louie Wolff of Kingsford Heights, Devon Wolff of Co- burgh, Scotland, she married Starr L. Kozlowski WATERVLIET Services for Lottie H. Kozlowski, 85, of 7502 Paw Paw who died at 2:30 p.m Saturday in Dowagiac Nursing Home, were to be today in St. Jo seph Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tues day in Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Ill.

Groner Funeral Home, Dowagiac, was in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Kozlowski was born Sept 29, 1902, in Illinois. She married Clement Kozlowski, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three sisters, Wanda Kruszka 01 Watervliet and Carrie Ostrowsk and Julia Ostrowski, both in Flori da.

Harold J. Keim STURGIS Services for Harold J. Keim, 75, of 311 S. Fourth who died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday in his home, will be at 1 p.m.

Mr. Keim was a car salesman for 33 years. He was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Howe. On Oct.

15, 1938, in Sturgis, he married Katherine M. Collins. She survives with two sons, William and Robert, both of Sturgis; six grandchildren; and a sister, Beatrice Robbert of Lakeview, Mich. Mr. Keim was a founder of Little League baseball in Sturgis.

He was a member of Sturgis First United Methodist Church. Esther V. Coons DOWAGIAC Services for Esther V. Coons, 61, of 120 Cass who died at 9:17 p.m. Saturday in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, will be at 2 p.m.

Coons and her husband operated Bob's Bicycle Repair in their home. She was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Penn Cass County. On Aug. 19, 1946, in Dowagiac, she married Bob Coons.

He survives with a daughter, Delores Clendenin of Dowagiac; two sons, Jim of Cassopolis and Gary of Dowagiac; eight grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Frances Middlestadt of Dowagiac and Velda Swank and Dessie Heroy, both of Cassopolis; and two brothers, Theodore Owen of Dowagiac and Giles Mathews of Florida. coa Beach, and Marion Wolff of Fish Lake. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty.

Tuesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, and an hour before the services, in the church. Mr. Kaser was a self-employed carpenter. He was born April 20, 1908, in St. Joseph County and had lived in North Liberty and South Bend most of his life.

On June 23, 1929, in South Bend, he married Dorothy DeFaun Heuson. She died April 2, 1985. He is survived by a sister, Mary Reanschnyder of South Bend; and a brother, Charles of North Liberty. He was a veteran of the Navy and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1167. Robert L.

Class Services for Robert L. Class, 85, of Englewood, formerly of South Bend, who died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Englewood Hospital, were conducted today at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood. Burial will be in Pine View Cemetery, Englewood. Mr.

Class retired from Bendix Corp. after 30 years of service. He was born March 29, 1902, in South Bend, and had lived in South Bend until moving to Englewood in 1972. In 1927, he married Della Mae Quigley, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Larry of Englewood; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Toler of Biloxi, Miss.
