«rereleased»? What? It's(Melty Blood: Type Lumina) a brand-new game. Not a remake or remaster. Sigh

Definitely buying this day 1. Unfortunately I guess they once again won't put out a physical overseas version outside of North America, but I can endure it being digital only over here. The thought of finally being able to actually officially buy Tsukihime over here just makes me that happy, even if the translation itself has a few typos here and there.

And if anyone reading has any interest, I should note that it is indeed extremely explicit so if you're sensitive to that kinda stuff this is not for you.

@steely_pete my guess is that it will likely be censored though I hope I’m wrong.

On a side note does this indicate we may finally get an official English version of Fate/Stay Night? I was a fan of the original anime before the series became fairly well known in the west, as well as Zero and Unlimited Bladeworks. I have the original visual novel on my old pc with an English patch but I never got around to going through it. I would gladly buy it on Switch though if it actually makes it over here

@Darthmoogle Remake is available on consoles only. So, of course it's censored. Original PC game was an eroge.

@Darthmoogle F/SN's third route is so dark, twisted and explicit that it would likely never arrive on consoles in these modern times...

And even if it was on PC, TM has completely distanced themselves from the eroge versions and would not have something like that in a current release even if they could.

FLIPPIN' FINALLY! Here's hoping the franchise is niche enough that it won't get censored! (And I'm saying, censored when compared to the Japanese version of the remake, not to the original eroge)

A bit of a shame this happen after the fan translation (and after I just 100% it) but I will still be buying the special edition

@steely_pete Hmm... How come? I mean... Their Fate series games also have 18+ content that is available in PC versions only as well, if I don't confuse.

FINALLY. Took them long enough but I'm overjoyed nonetheless.

A way ti play Fate/Stay in Switch would be nice. Reading through visual novels on a TV/Monitor just don’t do it for me.

@Vyacheslav333 Yes but their Fate games came out 15 years ago - they also re-released F/SN with censorship and voices, called Realta Nua. That was also years ago, my bet is that gets remastered and announced for F/SN's 20th anniversary next year

@Vyacheslav333 Yeah, they change out all of the eroge scenes for somewhat more magical/mystical scenes regarding things like "mana transfers" and whatnot. It was a decision on the author/director's part because the company was moving away from those specific roots.

@Vyacheslav333 The fan translations are at least great, though. I played through classic Stay Night with the fan translation (and am currently in the middle of its sequel, Hollow Ataraxia) and had no problems with the translation itself whatsoever. The fan translation also gives the best of both versions, with the voice acting and additional content of Realta Nua, alongside the uncensored original scenes. As long as you're okay playing on PC (which runs perfectly fine on modern Windows, so complicated setup isn't a problem either) or Android (through a conversion layer), the fan translation is easily the best version of Stay Night (and Hollow Ataraxia) that we'll probably ever get.

@Darthmoogle There are no explicit scenes here to be censored. The remake is not an eroge, as it was released on the PS4 and Switch in Japan. Neither of these platforms would have tolerated explicit content, and Nasu specifically did not release this game on PC.

No idea why anyone would pay for any of these when you can literally watch gameplay and have the exact same experience. Weird stuff, these not video games on a video game system.

After 20 years of begging Nasu, we're finally getting it!

@theModestMouse I pay hundreds for some of the visual novels I own on Switch, lol. My visual novel collection could probably pay my car off, lol

@ottoecamn I'm sure it'll be fine. The all-ages versions of eroge and VN's on Switch always keep everything intact from their Steam counterparts.. in fact, they sometimes have even more, lol

@ottoecamn I'd rather have both get an official uncut release on the same Switch card. It's leaving me in indecision limbo because glass moon is watered down on one hand, but was also an original do over the next

@Samalik sorry mate, but that is one thing that is never gonna happen. Because in Tsukihime's case, an uncut version means literally p*rn. we're talkinng fully rendered images of sexual intercourse with in-depth descriptions of the acts being performed. That's not something that is gonna fly on the Switch or ANY console.

@ottoecamn it does here in europe when publishers are daring enough. Look up Lust for Darkness and Pretty Girls Collection. Both on switch and both with uncut versions.
