WILLIAM T. CRAWFORD, 70, of Absecon, died suddenly Sunday at his home. Mr. Crawford worked as a bartender for the TropWorld Casino and Entertainment Resort in Atlantic City for the past 12 years. He had previously worked as a bartender for the Ram's Head Inn for five years and the Historic Inns at Smithville for more than 25 years.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served during World War II in Australia. Mr. Crawford was a member of Local 54 of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International union. Surviving are his wife, Josephine; four sons, William, Elvin, Robert and Douglas, all of Linwood; two stepdaughters, Patricia Orth of Absecon and Paula Boileau of Linwood; and eight grandchildren.

Born in Blandon, he lived in Pleasantville since 1978. Surviving are his parents, Carl and Hannah, of Westlawn, six children and eight brothers and sisters, all of Pennsylvania. LOUIS J. NELL, 77, of Atlantic City, died Sunday at his nephew's home in Absecon. Mr. Nell was manager of Captain Starn's Restaurant in Atlan- tic City for many years before his thunderstorms extended over the eastern Gulf of Mexico states, the southern Atlantic Coast states, the Tennessee Valley and the Ohio Valley.
