(U.S. 19) PINELLAS PARK 9-9 PH. 521-3553 NEXT TO BRAKE-O 9-6 SAT. SUN. local Reluctant Seminole band gets festival okay St.

Petersburg Times Staff Writer SEMINOLE The Seminole High School Warhawk Band got School Board approval Wednesday to return to the Virginia Beach Music Festival where it won the championship last year. But it may not be going. "There is some question as to whether the band will be going because it involves a week of school. at a critical time of year," said Band Aide President Martin Heuer. This year the festival is being moved up a few weeks, Heuer said.

But the shift, to May 15-18, puts the festival only a few weeks before Seminole's exams. Heuer said traditionally the defending champion band returns to the festival as "honor band," but many band members feel they "have a future to think about and they have a valid point." The students will make a decision within the next week on whether to take advantage of the trip's approval.
